Jo Lawrence-King is an experienced childbirth educator (CBE), offering antenatal classes as part of a team of independent CBEs teaching out of Maternity Associates on the North Shore. She also offers in-birth support to couples and created Birthing With Confidence workshops to cater for couples wanting to empower themselves for a natural birth.
Jo's background is in healthcare public relations and health promotion in the UK. She went there for her OE (overseas experience) in 1990 and ended up staying for 12 years, marrying a Brit and having the first of her two children there.
Jo returned to NZ in 2002. She is married to Bruce and they have two children: Ellie (8) and Matthew (5).
